Lauren Tuckey Murray
Lauren Tuckey Murray brings litigation experience to Bellows Law Group, P.C., practicing in the areas of employment law and employment litigation. Lauren counsels clients on employment matters including contracts and severance agreements. She represents clients in state and federal courts and administrative agencies for claims including Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA and FMLA.
Prior to joining the Bellows Law Group, P.C., Lauren represented corporations in seven and eight-figure construction negligence, product liability and wrongful death actions. The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin featured a favorable defense verdict obtained for a client in the Cook County case of Rizner v. The Weitz Company, et al., where the jury found that the plaintiff was 40% at fault for his own injuries due to his failure to wear fall protection.
Lauren graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where faculty selected her to receive the National Order of the Barristers Award for excellence in oral and written advocacy, reserved for the top three students in each class. Lauren received a Book Award for earning the highest grade in Legal Research and Writing. Lauren scored in the top 7% of her class in the 1L Moot Court Competition, earning the ability to represent the University of Miami at moot court competitions across the country. Lauren was later elected president of the University of Miami Moot Court Board, leading the Board to a top national ranking. Lauren was also elected vice-president of the Honor Council, was elected by her peers to the Society of Bar and Gavel for leadership and community involvement, and chaired the Student Bar Association Election Commission. Before law school, Lauren earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Michigan State University.
While not practicing employment law, Lauren is honored to represent children pro bono in contested guardianship cases. Lauren is an avid “foodie” and enjoys writing recipes for her food blog. She graduated top culinary school Kendall College’s certificate program in 2015. She enjoys serving as an adoption counselor at PAWS Adoption Center.
